MPP Technology

The rod is the central component of the shock absorber. It slides in and out of the shock absorber body through a seal. This seal has to prevent any external pollution from entering the shock absorber and any loss of oil from the shock absorber.

If the surface of the rod is rough, it will damage the seal and the shock absorber will start to leak. Gabriel has developed an exclusive technique, known as: MPP® (Mirror Polish Process) which smooth’s the surface of the rod by 20%, to achieve the best surface condition on the market. It works by correcting the surface of the rod in several stages, finishing off the job by polishing it.

The result is a level of roughness of under 0.08 microns, which guarantees the shock absorber will have a perfect seal; reducing any risk of leakage and greatly extending its service life.
