About Us
Gabriel has been synonymous with quality shock absorbers for more than one hundred years; having designed and manufactured the World’s first shock absorber back in 1907.
Gabriel retains its market leading position today by manufacturing Original Equipment quality gas and hydraulic shock absorbers, for both conventional suspension systems and strut type suspensions (commonly known as MacPherson struts) for the global OEM and Aftermarket.
Gabriel also supplies complementary strut mounts and protection kits. In addition, Gabriel provides a full program of solutions for specialised applications for: military vehicles; rail-bound transport; bridges with suspension, etc.
Mirroring OE
Gabriel’s PRO-ONE aftermarket shock absorber range mirrors OE in every way. Employing the very latest OE technologies, the whole range carries the same three year guarantee and utilises the same OE bi-tube design.
Each Gabriel PRO-ONE shock absorber matches the part fitted at OE level, be it gas or hydraulic. With just one part per model, 1200 references, covers 90 per cent of the European car parc and means it’s quick and easy to find the part you’re looking for.
Often viewed by drivers as a comfort item, shock absorbers are a fundamental, safety critical element of a suspension system. Tested to the extreme on the roughest of terrain, Gabriel recommends shock absorbers are changed on the axle, in pairs, every 50-60,000 miles.
Making more than 4000 movements in every driven mile, they play a major role in keeping the wheels in contact with the road – and in keeping you safe when you are driving.
